As a Senior AI Engineer, you will design and scale the core intelligence of the AI platform, building LLM-powered agents that don’t just answer queries, but plan, reason, and autonomously execute workflows. You will work directly with the technology leadership team to push the boundaries of applied AI, designing systems that understand context, make decisions, and interact with other agents, not just prompt-and-respond. Base salary up to €120k. Fully remote in Germany (optional meetups in Cologne). What You’ll Do Architect and implement agentic systems capable of automating sophisticated legal and operational workflows, from document analysis and template generation to deadline management and client communication.Design and develop modular, explainable AI components (e.g., perception, reasoning, orchestration layers) that integrate seamlessly into production.Collaborate with product and backend teams to translate advanced AI capabilities into elegant, user-facing features.Optimise LLM/ML infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability — leveraging Python, Django/FastAPI, and the company’s in-house agentic framework.Establish best practices for AI development, testing, and deployment, ensuring consistent quality across all agentic components. What You Bring 5+ years of hands-on AI engineering experience, including 2+ years of LLM and agentic system design.Deep understanding of agentic architecture, from perception and decision-making modules to learning and orchestration.5+ years Python expertise and familiarity with Django, FastAPI, and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).Ability to articulate agent internals. You can explain how your agents think, plan, and adapt, not just what they do.Proven experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI or similar) into robust, scalable production systems.Collaborative communicator who thrives in fast-paced, applied AI environments.
