The Team

Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) as one of A&M’s core competencies advise clients in improving profitability targets and leading clients out of strategic and operational crisis situations in a sustainable manner. In the process, our short-term focus is always on restoring the financial and operational performance of the companies. As part of the CTS team, you support clients in various industries e.g. Consumer and Retail from the upper medium-sized businesses and international corporations.

A&M’s Consumer and Retail Group (CRG) helps to improve operating results, drive large-scale transformations and assist during M&A/carve-out activities. We bring a structured and disciplined approach to create and capture value. Our professionals within CRG promote the development of deep functional skills to maximize our ability to tailor solutions to solve our clients' business issues.

CRG engagements range from holistic cross-functional transformations, functional performance improvement, interim management and M&A assistance with a clear focus on quickly identifying high impact opportunities for EBITDA expansion and drive shareholder/company value.

How you will contribute

As a Senior Associate (f/m/d) – Fashion, Sporting Goods & Luxury, you will take an active, hands-on role in driving transformation and performance improvement projects within the Consumer and Retail Group. Supported by our European Corporate Transformation Services team, you will:

• Deliver international transformation, turnaround and performance improvement projects from initial assessment to full execution, and contribute to ensure effective implementation

• Partner with senior client stakeholders (CEOs, Boards, and management teams) to understand priorities, align on project goals, and drive organization‑wide efficiency enhancements

• Translate strategy into actionable, results-oriented solutions, ensuring that recommendations are pragmatic and achievable

• Drive top- and bottom-line impact, addressing critical business challenges and delivering sustainable results

Qualifications

• An excellent university degree and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

• 5+ years of professional experience, in a global top-tier consulting firm, additional industry experience are highly valued

• Demonstrated exposure to transformation, restructuring, M&A, operational improvement, or performance‑driven initiatives within Fashion, Luxury, Sportswear & Athleisure, or related fields of the Consumer and Retail Industry

• Goal-oriented, proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn

• Collaborative, and confident working style, combined with great communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to contribute structured thinking, research, and analysis in a fast-paced, competitive advisory environment

• Comfortable working with diverse teams and in international settings, with the ability to build credibility through professionalism, reliability, and high-quality work delivery

• Native or business fluent in German and English, proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable
