Senior Automotive Technical Sales Engineer(A125371)

Stellenbeschreibung:

  • Provide primary technical support for the Automotive Sales team in OEM customer meetings, workshops and technical reviews, clearly presenting the company’s technical solutions (infotainment, ADAS, digital cockpit, etc.) and translating complex technical concepts into customer-oriented value messages.
  • Coordinate and support responses to OEM RFIs/RFQs, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define budgetary technical solutions, ensure solution feasibility and technical consistency, and assist in cost estimation.
  • Lead the setup, maintenance and improvement of hardware & software demonstrators, coordinate with engineering teams to integrate key features, and support on-site/remote demonstrations for OEM engagements.
  • Participate in defining, establishing and scaling the Technical Sales/BD team, develop best practices for OEM technical engagement, demo strategies and RFI response processes.
  • Mentor and onboard future Technical Sales Engineers as the team expands, ensuring the team’s competency meets business needs.
  • Act as a bridge between OEM customers and internal teams, communicate customer feedback to Product Management and R&D, and align sales opportunities with technical capabilities and long-term strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15-20+ years of experience in automotive technical roles (Technical Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, etc.) with direct experience working with automotive OEMs (e.g., VW Group, European/global OEMs).
  • Strong hands-on experience with infotainment systems and/or ADAS platforms, including automotive SoCs/ECUs, HMI, sensors, embedded software, Android Automotive OS and AI/LLM.
  • Proven experience in handling RFIs/RFQs, proof of concepts and customer demonstrations, with solid understanding of vehicle architectures and OEM development processes.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders; fluent in English (German and French are a strong plus).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of building processes from scratch, and comfortable working in cross-functional and international environments.
