The Small Animal Clinic, Centre for Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Ludwig‑Maximilians‑Universität (LMU) Munich, Germany, invites applications for a senior clinician position in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery, starting 1 July 2026 or later.
Our neurology and neurosurgery service operates within a state‑of‑the‑art university referral hospital and offers an outstanding interdisciplinary clinical and academic environment. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including:
Daily clinical collaboration occurs with Diplomates in Diagnostic Imaging, Anaesthesiology, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Pathology and Neuropathology, Behavioural Medicine, and Nutrition.
We place strong emphasis on collegiality, respectful teamwork, and a culture of genuine mutual support. Regular interdisciplinary journal clubs (e.g., neuroradiology, neuropathology) and structured case rounds form part of the weekly schedule.
The successful candidate will assume a leading senior clinical role within the neurology and neurosurgery service, with opportunities for academic development and leadership. Key responsibilities include clinical management of neurological and neurosurgical patients, supervision and professional training of residents and doctoral (Dr. med. vet.) students, active participation in teaching and research, including lectures, journal clubs, and case rounds, supervision of ECVN residents as well as development and participation in scientific and translational research projects.
