Senior Controller – Commercial Energy | Solar PV • Storage • Heat Pumps • CHP • EV Charging | Berlin

We’re working with a rapidly scaling Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) platform in Germany, focused on decarbonising real estate and commercial assets through innovative micro‑grid and distributed energy solutions. Backed by experienced investors, the platform delivers turnkey systems integrating solar PV, storage, heat pumps, CHP, EV charging, and AI‑driven energy management.

We’re looking for a finance professional to play a central role in project and financial control, working closely with the CFO to drive improvements, reporting, and processes across the organisation — a chance to make a real impact on a fast‑growing, ESG‑focused business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing economic and performance analyses
• Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system (migrating from Microsoft Dynamics)
• Continuously improve reporting frameworks, controlling tools, and corporate processes
• Prepare monthly management reports with detailed variance analysis
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, business plans, and ad‑hoc financial analyses
• Serve as a key internal contact to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Support liquidity planning and cash flow management
• Contribute to the preparation of annual and consolidated financial statements
• Report directly to the CFO and support strategic decision‑making

Candidate profile:

• Highly proactive with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Degree in business, finance, or accounting, with a focus on controlling
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is a plus
• Knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) accounting and/or IFRS is advantageous
• Several years of experience in a similar controlling or finance role is a benefit
