ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is a leading certification system for sustainability, traceability and greenhouse gas emissions reduction.

We are looking to strengthen our Integrity Management team by hiring a Senior Integrity Manager (Interims Teamlead) based in Cologne.

In this key leadership role you will safeguard and advance the integrity and credibility of the ISCC system. You will manage the ISCC Integrity Programme and ensure that certified companies and Certification Bodies comply with the ISCC requirements through risk‑based approaches. You will translate insights from integrity activities into continuous improvements of the ISCC certification framework, system requirements and auditor training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization, implementation, and continuous development of the ISCC Integrity Programme
  • Ensure compliance of certified companies and Certification Bodies through risk‑based compliance assessments
  • Safeguard and strengthen the integrity and credibility of the ISCC system
  • Identify systemic risks and weaknesses and drive effective corrective and preventive measures
  • Translate findings from integrity activities into system improvements, including ISCC requirements and auditor training
  • Support the continuous development of the ISCC certification framework and related processes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective compliance standards
  • Monitor performance, define KPIs, and contribute to departmental strategy and budget planning
  • Represent ISCC at external events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings
  • Participate in Certification Body meetings and industry dialogues
  • Accompany audits as a witness auditor
  • Deliver internal and external ISCC trainings

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental sciences, business administration, law, or similar)
  • Extensive professional experience in compliance consulting, internal audit, or a corporate compliance function
  • At least two years of leadership experience, including managing or guiding teams and developing team members
  • Proven experience with risk‑based assessment methodologies and compliance systems
  • Strong background in change management and implementing organizational improvements
  • Demonstrated experience in translating risks and findings into sustainable system improvements
  • Experience working with public authorities or representatives of European member state ministries
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and organizational skills with a hands‑on implementation mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in an international and multi‑stakeholder environment
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and ability to handle confidential information
  • Very good IT affinity (MS Office, databases) and willingness to travel internationally
  • Excellent English and German language skills (at least C1, written and spoken)
