Senior Lending Advisor – EMEA - Executive Director

Goldman Sachs Private Bank provides competitive borrowing and cash management solutions for UHNW clients, strategically integrated with their wealth management goals. Our experienced team partners with PWAs to advise on new loans, refinancing, restructuring, and overall liability management. We offer a wide range of creative borrowing solutions against various asset classes, including marketable securities, alternative investments, residential and commercial real estate, as well as private assets like aviation, fine art, or yachts.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain strong internal relationships with PWAs to drive lending activity.
• Drive growth by identifying and implementing lending opportunities with PWM coverage teams.
• Advise clients and advisors on tailored lending solutions, enhancing our reputation for excellence in execution.
• Participate in prospect and client meetings with PWAs to promote Goldman Sachs Private Bank and our solutions.
• Pre-screen lending requests and structure creative loan proposals that benefit both the client and the firm.
• Collaborate with the Underwriting team on credit memos, portfolio, and risk management.
• Lead solutions for default situations or at-risk accounts within your portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with credit and control procedures.
• Manage client and PWA expectations through effective communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in lending origination and credit analysis within a private or commercial bank.
• 5+ years of experience in structured lending roles in similar environments.
• Expertise in structured lending, including commercial real estate, specialty finance (yachts, aviation, fine art), single stock, and illiquid assets lending.
• Experience with underwriting securities-based loans, structured lending, and private equity.
• Ability to advise clients and creatively structure sophisticated solutions to meet objectives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Team collaboration skills.
• Desire for growth in a dynamic business environment.
• Completion of formal credit training.
