Senior Manager/Associate Director Transformation Management Office (m/f/x) – Germany

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich ( as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium‑size companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add‑on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long‑term growth of the portfolio company.

Your Tasks

• Supporting our portfolio companies in their turnaround journey, by working closely with the management board and the Mutares team
• Establishing a business plan inclusive of a turnaround concept and driving the implementation together with the Operations team and the portfolio company, including the management of different stakeholders
• Assessment of strategic decisions (e.g. Insourcing/Outsourcing) together with the local teams and the Mutares team
• Supporting the acquisition and integration process of add‑on acquisitions
• Establishing the management governance and coherent tracking and reporting within the portfolio company

Your Profile

• Successfully completed a degree in the field of economics, engineering, science or similar with outstanding results
• At least 6 years of experience in transformations, restructuring or turnaround situations
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands‑on approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well‑structured and concise manner
• Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week (typically Monday – Thursday) and to work in an international environment
