We are seeking an experienced Deal Leader, this client-facing role focuses on developing and expanding strategic relationships with key clients, driving business growth, and identifying innovative consulting opportunities. The ideal candidate combines strong sales capabilities with deep client understanding, solution design expertise, and a proactive approach to business development.
Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, fostering long-term, trusted partnerships.
Leverage strong sales skills and deep client relationships to identify and close new business opportunities.
Understand client environments, challenges, and needs to propose tailored consulting solutions.
Identify client requirements and emerging market needs to develop new consulting propositions.
Analyze client projects and engagements to identify “sell-on” opportunities and potential areas for service expansion.
Drive the creation and positioning of innovative solutions aligned with current and future client demands.
Lead the development of proposals, pricing strategies, and value-driven solution offerings.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure feasibility, scalability, and alignment with client expectations.

Asset-Infused Consulting
Drive awareness and adoption of IBM’s latest consulting topics and technologies.

Support the adaptation of consulting practices to meet evolving client expectations and delivery models.
Share deep client insights with internal teams to support current project success and identify new growth areas.
Collaborate with delivery and pre-sales teams to ensure alignment between client needs and solution execution.
IBM Consulting DACH has an exciting opportunity within our team for a Sales Deal Leader Position with a strong focus on SAP S/4 and Procurement. We are on the lookout for a talented and motivated SAP Deal Leader to join us and contribute to our ongoing success in Business Applications .
With the increasing demand for SAP expertise, particularly in the public sector and other industries, we see tremendous opportunities for new business. This hire is aimed at expanding our Go-to-Market team and positioning us optimally to meet the rising market demand. A dedicated Band-9 Go-to-Market expert will leverage our expertise to effectively position IBM and SAP Procurement / Ariba, as well as SAP SCM, in the market, leading to increased customer acquisition and revenue growth.
This role is pivotal in raising awareness, generating leads, and converting them into successful sales, thereby supporting our revenue growth. The focus is on further enhancing the unique value of IBM SAP Finance, Procurement and SCM and differentiating ourselves from the competition. By building strong relationships, providing excellent customer service, and delivering continuous value, we can enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, leading to repeat business.
Filling this position is a strategic investment aimed at leveraging executive expertise, driving strategic advice, fostering thought leadership, nurturing valuable customer relationships, setting industry standards, and ensuring long-term strategic alignment – all essential components of IBM's pursuit of leadership in the SAP consulting domain. German language skills on level "negotiation fluent" is required.
Master's Degree
Commerical experience in IT consulting, client relationship management and business development.
Proven track record of developing and closing complex consulting deals.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, digital transformation, and innovation-driven consulting.
Proven skills in Cloud, AI, Delivery methodology and deep Public sector expertise
Experience working with IBM technologies or consulting frameworks is a plus
6+ years of SAP Sales Experience with signings and revenue track record
Track record in building client relationships
Profound experience in the sales and delivery of SAP S/4 LoB solutions, ideally in SAP Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, etc.
Negotiation fluently in German
SAP S/4 Procurement (MM, Ariba, Invalua, Zycus, etc.) related offering and delivery experience
