Job Title: Procurement Engineer (Potential Reserve for European Procurement Manager)

Department: Procurement Department (Germany Subsidiary, directly under the European Headquarters, covers the Serbia Base)

Work Location: Resident in Serbia for the first 3-6 months after onboarding to establish the local procurement management system and develop and finalize local procurement resources; subsequent work location will be adjusted back to Germany with business trips covering all European supplier resources (including Germany, Serbia and other European countries).

Job Positioning: As a core procurement position of the Germany Subsidiary under the European Headquarters, it is mainly responsible for the procurement management of the Serbia Base, the development and finalization of global and European local procurement resources, and the optimization of the European regional procurement system. It is a key reserve position for the future European Procurement Manager, responsible for overall planning of European regional procurement strategies, ensuring supply chain stability and cost optimization, and requiring 10+ years of professional procurement experience to support the work.

I. Job Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and Finalization Management: During the initial onboarding period (resident in Serbia), focus on establishing the local procurement management system, and develop and finalize local procurement resources for auto chassis components-related spare parts and production auxiliary materials; after returning to Germany, lead the global sourcing, inquiry, comparison, negotiation and finalization of auto chassis components-related spare parts and production auxiliary materials for the Serbia Base and European region, select high-quality suppliers, and establish a stable and efficient global supply system to ensure timely, compliant and cost-optimal material supply.
  • Outsourcing Resource Development: Focus on exploring, evaluating and implementing outsourcing supplier resources for core processes such as stamping and galvanizing related to auto chassis components in Europe, establish a European regional outsourcing supplier database, optimize the outsourcing process, and ensure the controllability of quality, delivery time and cost of outsourcing services.
  • Cost Control and Analysis: Regularly conduct procurement cost analysis, focus on the accurate review of procurement and outsourcing costs related to auto chassis components, identify cost optimization opportunities, formulate and promote cost reduction plans, optimize the procurement cost structure, and achieve cost control goals.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Establish and implement a supplier access, evaluation and assessment system, focus on the audit and management of suppliers related to auto chassis components, timely handle supplier quality abnormalities, promote supplier rectification and optimization, and maintain stable cooperative relationships with suppliers.
  • Supply Chain Planning and Warehousing Management: Responsible for the overall planning of the supply chain for imported stamping parts and finished products, coordinate logistics, customs clearance and transportation links, optimize the supply chain process; manage overseas warehouses (including Germany, Serbia and other overseas nodes), reasonably plan inventory, ensure efficient inventory turnover, and avoid inventory overstock and shortage risks.
  • Cross-regional Collaboration: Coordinate with relevant departments (production, quality, warehousing, etc.) of the Germany Subsidiary (European Headquarters), Shanghai Headquarters and the Serbia Base, solve problems related to procurement, supply and quality in a timely manner, and ensure the smooth progress of European regional procurement work; cooperate with the global procurement team to promote the sharing of global sourcing resources.
  • Potential Reserve Responsibilities: Proactively learn European regional procurement strategies and cutting‑edge supply chain management knowledge, rely on 10+ years of procurement experience to participate in the construction of the European regional procurement system, gradually take on overall management responsibilities, and conform to the development positioning of the future European Procurement Manager.

II. Job Requirements

  • Education and Major: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Manufacturing, Materials Science or related majors; with a good understanding of auto chassis components.
  • Work Experience: 10 years or more of procurement-related work experience, rich experience in procurement of auto chassis components is preferred ; experience in European procurement (including Germany and Serbia) is preferred, familiar with local procurement processes, and experience in developing and finalizing local procurement resources is an advantage; experience in procurement of spare parts and auxiliary materials in manufacturing enterprises and familiarity with global sourcing processes are preferred.
  • Professional Abilities:
  • Proficient in procurement sourcing, price comparison, negotiation and finalization processes, with strong global sourcing capabilities and 10+ years of experience in supplier development and management, especially good at the development, maintenance and negotiation of suppliers related to auto chassis components , able to accurately match the procurement needs of auto chassis components.
  • Understand core processes such as stamping and galvanizing, and can accurately evaluate the technical capabilities and supply strength of outsourcing suppliers related to auto chassis components.
  • Possess solid cost analysis capabilities, especially proficient in the analysis of procurement and outsourcing costs related to auto chassis components, able to identify cost optimization points through data review and promote cost reduction, with 10+ years of relevant work experience to support cost control work.
  • Familiar with overseas supply chain planning, customs clearance, logistics and warehousing management processes, experience in overseas warehousing management is preferred.
  • Master supplier quality management methods, with 10+ years of experience in handling supplier quality abnormalities and promoting supplier rectification, especially good at dealing with quality issues of suppliers related to auto chassis components, ensuring the stability of supply quality.
  • Language Ability: English proficiency at the negotiation level , able to independently complete business negotiations and supplier docking related to auto chassis components procurement; German language is option, which can better connect with local suppliers and teams in Germany.
  • Quality Requirements: Strong cost awareness, sense of responsibility and strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, communication and coordination skills, and problem‑solving abilities; rigorous and meticulous in work, strong execution, able to work under pressure, and good team spirit; clear career planning, willing to develop towards the direction of European Procurement Manager, with corresponding management potential and 10+ years of professional procurement experience to support the overall management of European regional procurement work.
  • Other Requirements: Accept occasional business trips within the European region (mainly Germany, Serbia); familiar with EU procurement-related laws and regulations and international trade rules is preferred; proficient in Office software and ERP systems.
