The innovation Team ✨

The innovation team is a newly established team, led by the CTO and reporting to the Senior Software Manager both based in Germany. This role will be part of a small high calibre team, being the driving force behind Matomo’s next generation of product innovation. Working across both backend (PHP) and frontend (JavaScript), this role focuses on rapidly exploring, prototyping, and delivering new ideas, and embedding them into our core product in a sustainable way. From AI-powered insights and advanced analytics features to entirely new approaches that enhance user experience and customer value, the engineer will turn concepts into reality.

As part of Matomo’s innovation team, you’ll not only build the next generation of analytics features but also work with AI-powered tools that help generate and accelerate code development — allowing you to focus on creative problem-solving and building impactful solutions faster.
