In this senior scientific role, you drive complex application development projects end to end — from early concept, through experimental design and execution, to data analysis and final delivery. You collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners across R&D, product management, and customer-facing teams to translate scientific challenges into impactful molecular solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise and make a visible impact on a rapidly growing technology area within QIAGEN.## ## **Your tasks include*** Leading and executing R&D projects to develop innovative dPCR-based applications for the QIAcuity platform.* Designing, performing, and optimizing complex laboratory experiments, ensuring robust and reproducible results.* Managing end-to-end development activities, including documentation, data interpretation, and internal reporting.* Providing scientific leadership within cross-functional teams and communicating technical progress clearly to stakeholders.* Acting as a senior technical expert to internal teams and external customers, including scientific collaborators and key opinion leaders.* Driving continuous improvements across products, workflows, and scientific methodologies.* Representing QIAGEN and the QIAcuity system at conferences, workshops, and internal knowledge-sharing events.## **Your profile*** PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.* Extensive hands-on experience with digital PCR, qPCR, and endpoint PCR technologies.* 5–8 years of relevant industry experience in molecular biology, assay development, or product development.* Strong expertise in molecular and cell biology methods and enzymatic systems.* Proven ability to design, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot complex laboratory experiments independently.* Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills for both technical and non-expert audiences.* Fluency in English; German at intermediate level is beneficial.* Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, trainings, or customer collaborations.**What we offer**Local benefits Hybrid work (conditional to your role)
