THE ROLE

As a (Senior) Software Solution Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of the rapidly evolving EV charging market. Your overarching goal is to ensure that software‑based EV charging solutions can be designed, integrated, and operated in real‑world customer environments. You will bridge customer requirements and technical implementation, ensuring solutions meet expectations, comply with relevant standards, and are delivered reliably.

• Be a part of customer delivery (SW) projects, manage the software solution up to the final release, and ensure solutions meet customer expectations technically.
• Act as a single point of contact toward current and potential customers.
• Manage hardware and software charging solution integrations with customers’ platforms.
• Represent the company as a technical consultant, participate in sales meetings and exhibitions.
• Define charging solution proposals for the Sales Team, including product selections.
• Visit, inform, train, and advise colleagues, customers, and third parties.
• Maximize the amount and quality of information available.

At Kempower we work hybrid. The role is based primarily in Southern Finland but is open to holders located anywhere in Europe, with hybrid or remote options and occasional travel. Proximity to an office in Finland, Germany, or the Netherlands is advantageous for customer visits.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

• Several years (3+ years) of hands‑on experience in customer‑facing software solutions, technical integrations, or hardware‑software projects.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs (JSON‑based) and industrial integration protocols such as Modbus.
• A customer‑oriented mindset and the ability to understand needs, technical environments, and operational processes.
• Strong motivation and curiosity to deepen technical knowledge of EV charging solutions and ecosystems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple topics or projects in parallel in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with clear communication and ability to negotiate priorities.

WE CONSIDER AS AN ASSET

• Familiarity with EV charging communication protocols such as OCPP and OCPI.
• Experience with Eichrecht compliance and ISO15118 Plug & Charge.
• Prior experience in the EV or EV charging industry.
