Job Description

As a pivotal leader within our EU Operations, you will hold end-to-end ownership of the transportation strategy and roadmap for one or more key markets. Managing a high-impact budget above €20 million, you will be responsible for building a scalable, tech-driven logistics engine that balances cost efficiency with an uncompromising commitment to the customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Roadmap & P&L Accountability: Own and execute the long-term transportation roadmap related to the countries you own. You will manage a €20M+ annual freight spend, ensuring financial discipline while driving sustainable, scalable growth.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the primary bridge between the commercial carriers and ATD internal stakeholders. You will partner closely with:
  • Warehouse & Supply Chain Excellence: To synchronize and manage outbound flow for the specific countries, looking for opportunities to optimize cost and speed.
  • Tech & Project Teams: To implement automation reducing the waste in our processes and coordinate the integration of new last mile services.
  • Finance & Accounting: To ensure transparent cost-reporting, audit accuracy, and budget integrity.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the last mile transportation, focusing on lead-time optimization, carrier performance (SLAs), and claims mitigation.
  • Customer-Centric Innovation: Continuously refine delivery models to meet evolving customer demands, ensuring our "last mile" is a competitive advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Technology, Operations, or the equivalent working experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Logistics, focusing on process optimization or operations management within a logistics setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cross-functional collaboration, working alongside teams from data science, operations, IT, and customer service to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience managing external stakeholders and running price negotiations.
  • A data-driven approach, with the ability to extract valuable insights from complex datasets and create actionable reports.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to lead projects and resolve challenges across multiple teams.
  • Proficient in managing several stakeholders, meeting deadlines, and balancing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of delivery logistics, including warehouse processes and customer delivery workflows.
  • Business-level fluency in English and desired +1 EU language; additional languages are an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with a strong focus on Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management, particularly in order fulfillment and delivery processes.
  • Ability to navigate with ambiguity.
