Position Overview

We are looking for a UI Engineer to join the Autobahn Platform UI team in Berlin. Autobahn is a key strategic platform that delivers core applications to internal and external users. The platform hosts client applications, centralises login and includes a search and bookmarking feature. It supports interoperability between apps written in different technologies (Web, .NET, Java, etc.) via the open‑source Plexus Interop library.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new functionality based on defined specifications and guidance.
• Contribute to the full development lifecycle, including implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented components and interfaces.
• Collaborate with QA, BA, and UX teams to clarify functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Support product quality by adhering to agreed standards, coding guidelines, and non‑functional requirements.
• Work with other development teams to integrate and use shared frameworks and components.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Practical experience in developing web applications with a focus on performance and maintainability.
• Good understanding of core data structures and basic algorithms relevant to everyday development tasks.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and common web technologies (HTML, CSS, modern frameworks).
• Working understanding of how browsers operate and how web applications are executed in the client.
• Analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills applied to day‑to‑day development work.
• Clear and cooperative communication skills when working with team members and stakeholders.
