Role Overview

In your role as a shipping employee (m/f/d), you will be responsible for our global goods shipping and will ensure smooth operations by controlling and monitoring all shipping processes.

Tasks

  • International shipping scheduling – Independent planning, management, and coordination of global shipping processes via freight forwarders.
  • Preparation of shipping and export documents – Preparation of the necessary paperwork in accordance with current customs and foreign trade regulations.
  • Import customs clearance – Execution and control of import customs clearance processes.
  • Declarations of origin and supplier declarations – Preparation, review, and management of preferential certificates and coordination with suppliers.
  • Confirmations of arrival and exit notes – Obtaining, documenting, and checking all necessary evidence for EU deliveries with exports.
  • Interface management – Working closely with sales, warehouse logistics, and international locations to ensure the smooth handling of all delivery processes.
  • Tariff classification of goods – Checking and assigning goods to the correct customs tariff, taking into account current guidelines.
  • Administrative tasks – Quotation entry, invoice verification, invoice approval, tax assessments, and document archiving.
  • Hazardous goods handling – Initial declaration, documentation, and shipment of hazardous goods.
  • Cooperation with external service providers – Including freight forwarders, IHK, customs, and BAFA.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training, ideally in the field of freight forwarding/logistics.
  • Further training in customs and foreign trade is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of an ERP system, ideally SAP.
  • Good knowledge of Atlas customs software and MS Office.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Goal‑ and customer‑oriented thinking and acting, as well as a meticulous approach to work.
