As a software architect (f/m/d) in the cross-functional IT department Development and Integration Services, you will ensure that high-quality software can be developed and integrated efficiently!
To this end, you will work with 15 employees from the Application and Integration Development team to develop concepts and technical solutions for application integration and back-end development for the broad mass of Java developers (m/f/d) based on market standards, so that the wheel does not have to be reinvented for every project. To contribute your expertise and learn about requirements firsthand, you will work operationally on modern Debeka IT projects.

Your contribution to WIR

• Actively helping to shape the software architecture of the Debeka application landscape by participating in projects and developing fundamentals
• Selection, introduction, and support of suitable Java-based technologies for (backend) application development and integration
• Expert support for developers in the use of our standard technologies through consulting, guidelines, and the provision of frameworks
• Excerpt of current technologies: Java, JakartaEE, Eclipse Microprofile, Quarkus, Apache Kafka
• Operational collaboration in IT projects, e.g., through the design and implementation of suitable integration solutions

What we are looking for

• Completed degree in IT or training in the IT field with professional experience
• Experience in application development with Java and preferably in other technologies from the above-mentioned environment
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches
• Analytical thinking, conceptual skills
• Ability to work in a team, commitment, and initiative
