Software Developer and Engineer

As a Sof t war e Engineer for the Operational Data Team supporting an Army Headquarters, you'll bring your technical, data analysis or science, and sof t war e expertise to collaborate, design, and build innovative solutions at an Army Service Component Command in support of operations abroad. You'll apply your developing expertise to assist in the design, testing, and delivery of sof t war e solutions that can be applied to strategic and operational requirements supporting exercises, training, and real-world emerging requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with full-stack sof t war e development on enterprise or mission-critical systems
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, or event-driven architectures
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
• Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices supporting build, test, and deployment workflows
• Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS GovCloud or Azure government cloud environments
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have

• Experience developing within or integrating with Platform One, Iron Bank, or Party Bus DevSecOps toolchains
• Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, or asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and SQS
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CDK, and GitOps practices and tools such as Argo CD or Flux
• Experience with static analysis, SAST or DAST tools, or SCA in pipeline workflows
• Experience developing AI / ML-enabled features or integrating with platforms such as Databricks or SageMaker
• Experience supporting Army, NATO, or coalition mission systems
• Experience supporting OCONUS or hybrid -deployed application environments
• Experience with DoD RMF, STIGs, or contributing to ATO packages from a developer perspective
• Top Secret clearance
• AWS Developer Asso cia te, CKA, CKAD, or similar Certification

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
