About The Team Hiring

Overview

The position of Software Technical Specialist is a customer-facing role with a focus on training and mentoring our customers around AEC software). Working alongside the sales and technical teams, you will be helping customers adopt the new technologies they have invested in. The support that you will provide will be a key part to the success of their goals as well as the opportunity to grow adoption in that business.

Although training and consultancy will be the key part of the role, there is the opportunity to work with the sales team on presenting the product to prospective customers and key events.

Key Responsibilities

Training Services, including:

Delivering Training Courses to clients in-house, on-site, or online.
Preparing and delivering Bespoke Training Courses tailored to the specific needs of the customer.
Conducting post-Training Course customer reviews.
Assisting with Training administration duties e.g., Customer Evaluations, Courseware, Training Certificates.

Post-Sales Support, including:

Advising clients on technical issues relating to the implementation and use of their design software.
Liaising with suppliers where necessary to research and identify solutions to client issues.

General Company Duties, including:

Researching and providing technical advice to company management on new product opportunities.
Assisting the Sales and Marketing staff with business development matters.

Key Success Indicators:

High level of success measured on all service delivery through post training surveys.
Creation of whitepapers and industry focused articles.
Generating Tips and Tricks and ‘how to’ for our customers and internal.
Maintaining the relevant certifications both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

What you must have done already:

3+ years of technical experience.
Proven experience in a technical role within the AEC industry, with expertise in AEC software solutions such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bentley MicroStation, Trimble SketchUp, and others.
Proven experience in German CAD market.
Strong understanding of AEC workflows, project lifecycle, and industry standards.
Knowledge in BIM & BIM Processes.

What is nice to have done already:

An appreciation for other disciplines, and how they work collaboratively on projects.
Experience in a training capacity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or other related technical field.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for on-site support and training sessions.
Certifications or training in relevant software platforms and technologies are a plus.
Good technical understanding in the IT industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including face-to-face, telephone and written communication skills.
Problem analysis and solving skills.
Excellent Level of German skills.
