Solar & Energy Storage System Design Engineer

Stellenbeschreibung:

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar + Energy Storage System Design Engineer to join our solution team.

The candidate will be responsible for system design, technical solution development, simulation, and optimization of residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) PV + battery storage systems.

This role requires a strong electrical engineering background, hands‑on project design experience, and the ability to produce professional SLD drawings and system documentation.

Fluency in both English and Chinese is required to support cross‑regional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Technical Solution Development

  • Design grid‑connected and hybrid PV + energy storage systems (Residential & C&I)
  • Develop optimized technical solutions based on project requirements, grid codes, and customer needs
  • Define system architecture (AC‑coupled / DC‑coupled / Hybrid)

2. Simulation & System Optimization

  • Conduct PV system simulations using tools such as PVsyst
  • Perform energy yield estimation and battery sizing calculations
  • Optimize system performance considering:
  • Load profile
  • Tariff structure
  • Self‑consumption ratio
  • Backup requirements
  • ROI analysis
  • Evaluate grid constraints and voltage drop calculations

3. Electrical Engineering & Documentation

  • Create professional Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
  • Prepare electrical drawings including:
  • Earthing systems
  • Cable sizing calculations
  • Breaker selection
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, VDE, CEI, NFC, etc.)

4. Project Technical Support

  • Support sales team with technical proposals and tenders
  • Coordinate with installation partners and EPC contractors

5. Cross‑Regional Communication

  • Collaborate with Global teams
  • Provide technical documentation when required
  • Support technical discussions with international partners

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Or related field

Experience

  • Proven experience in C&I solar + storage projects
  • Hands‑on experience with system simulation and optimization tools

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Battery storage integration
  • Grid connection standards
  • Proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD (or equivalent)
  • PV simulation software
  • Excel‑based engineering calculations
  • Solid understanding of:
  • IEC Regulation
  • Breaker coordination
  • Earthing & protection concepts

Language

  • Fluent in Chinese

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with European grid codes (e.g., VDE-AR-N 4105, CEI 0‑21, etc.)
  • Experience with AC‑coupled battery systems
  • Knowledge of smart energy management systems
  • Experience in high‑tariff markets (Germany, Italy, UK, etc.)
