Sourcing (Procurement) & Data Analyst Consultant

Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of

sourcing strategies

across packaging and pallet categories. Improve packaging

specifications , evaluate materials, and implement sustainable alternatives. Cleanse, transform, and structure large datasets to support sourcing and supplier award recommendations. Run

RFx processes

(RFQ/RFI/RFP) including digital sourcing events and e‑auctions. Analyze market trends, supplier cost drivers, and risk factors; translate insights into actionable strategies. Drive

cost‑saving initiatives , value engineering, and continuous improvement programs. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure quality and sustainability compliance. Visit suppliers, manufacturing sites, and distribution centers to assess packaging performance and drive improvements. Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, logistics, sustainability, and quality teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs.

Requirements Strong experience in

packaging procurement , packaging engineering, or related categories (e.g., corrugated, flexible, rigid, pallets, wooden/plastic logistics carriers). Solid understanding of

TCO modeling , cost breakdowns, and procurement analytics. Proven ability to run structured RFx processes, negotiate with suppliers, and manage contracts. Experience implementing

sustainable packaging

solutions or improvement initiatives. Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI or similar tools. Experience working in a

global environment , ideally across Europe and North America. Willingness to travel to supplier sites and logistics facilities as needed. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Ability to work

on‑site 4 days per week in Hamburg
