We are looking for a Staff Engineer (m/f/nb) to join our agile architecture team and take our architecture to the next level. As a Platform Architect, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational development of our sourcing platform. You will design innovative, scalable solutions and help us to optimise the sourcing processes for our customers.

Your contribution to success

• Architecture : You continuously develop, maintain and optimise the architecture of our sourcing platform on a strategic and operational level.
• Solution design : You develop solution designs and use them to form the foundation for complex projects. You work with different teams and departments to find the best possible solutions for our customers.
• Technology selection : You evaluate the selection of suitable technologies, shaping the platform's tech stack.
• Best practices : You rely on proven best practices and help to establish them in the organization and continuously improve our architecture work.
• Coaching : You pass on your knowledge and experience and thus develop not only our technology, but also our organization.

Your success factors

• Technical degree : You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Sound experience : You have at least 10 years of experience in software development and at least 5 years of experience in a position with architectural responsibility
• Architecture know‑how : You have in‑depth knowledge of software architecture and system design and successfully use common architecture patterns.
• Best practices : You know and act according to architecture best practices. Architecture decision records and architecture models (e.g. UML, C4) are part of your toolbox.
• Technical know‑how : You have experience with one of the major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure). DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code are no foreign words for you. You have in‑depth knowledge of Java, Spring, Kubernetes, Docker and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Communication : Making complex technical topics understandable is one of your strengths.
• Hands‑on mentality : You are characterised by motivation, high team spirit and strong communication skills.
• Solution orientation : You have the ability and perseverance to analyse, understand and optimise complex processes.
• Languages : You have a very good command of English (C1); knowledge of German is an advantage.
