You will be part of the Drivetrain Testing group at the Bremerhaven site, contributing to the operation of test benches, the integration of test specimens, the implementation of measurement technology and the execution of tests in close collaboration with our industrial customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain test benches as part of the Drivetrain Testing group.
  • Integrate test specimens and measurement technology, and conduct tests in collaboration with industrial customers.
  • Participate in the research projects “NextGen” and “VIB2SE”, including comprehensive literature research on mechanical testing and measurement techniques for electrical machines.
  • Investigate the mechanical vibrations of electrical machines under the influence of power electronics using dedicated test rigs.
  • Analyze experimental and measurement data to verify formulated hypotheses.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline with a focus on electrical machines.
  • Solid theoretical knowledge of electrical machines and sensor technology (temperature, torque, speed, vibrations, electrical quantities).
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting experimental or measurement data from studies or previous work.
  • Good spoken and written English skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Benefits

Flexible working arrangements are offered: you can decide the days and hours you work in agreement with your colleagues, and remote work is possible depending on the job. The standard contract duration is one year, with individual agreements possible. Working time consists of up to 80 hours per month. Remuneration follows the general works agreement for employing assistant staff.
