Systems Integration Engineer (m/f/d)


Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost‑effective methods of integrating, testing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment to enable DxA system integration activities.


In This Role



  • Act as Systems Integration SME within one of the research and development project teams in the field of Total Laboratory Automation.

  • Own the orchestration of Systems Integration activities, coordinating stakeholders across multiple teams and interfaces composing the DxA TLA platform.

  • Organize and execute Systems Integration Testing campaigns ensuring the successful integration across diagnostics and automation systems to deliver the highest quality workflows to our customers.

  • Support the project and the Systems Integration teams in laboratory related activities, such as maintenance and troubleshooting of prototype systems and diagnostic analyzers (including IT and network troubleshooting), laboratory layout designs, automation and analyzer systems installation, automation systems layout design.

  • Accountability for the overall management of the projects dedicated prototypes and development systems (TLA lines, LIS IT connection, analyzers).

  • Act as diagnostics laboratory workflow SME.

  • Support customer escalation and post marketing investigations.


The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include



  • Bachelor or master degree in science or engineering (PhD holders are also welcome to apply).

  • 3 – 5 years of professional experience in highly technological industries, preferably in the domain of clinical diagnostics, medical technologies, or industrial automation.

  • Familiarity with regulated environments (FDA, EMA).

  • Demonstrated testing experience (ISTQB certification, or previous hands‑on laboratory experience).

  • Familiarity with Scrum/Agile working methods.

  • Hands‑on attitude, ready to work on complex machinery and OEM systems.


Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements



  • Ability to travel intercontinentally.

  • Must have a valid passport.

  • The position includes lifting, moving and/or carrying laboratory equipment.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in



  • Laboratory equipment handling/management.

  • Automation systems.

  • Clinical Diagnostics analyzers and clinical laboratory workflows (Hema, CIA, UA).
