About your team

The department "Information Security and Business Continuity Management" serves as the 2nd Line of Defense and is responsible for defining security standards and the ICT risk management framework according to DORA. It implements the digital operational resilience strategy at FIL Fondsbank (FFB) and ensures the effectiveness of the governance framework and DORA strategy. The department consists of three teams; the Assurance & Reporting team guarantees the quality of the GRC processes, controls the effectiveness of the security standards, manages the DORA test program, conducts 2nd Line audits, and reports ICT risk to the Management Board of FFB. The team comprises five full‑time employees.

About your role

You will lead a team of four employees and be part of the department’s leadership team. You report directly to the CISO and department head and coordinate with the Management Board.

Key responsibilities

  • Disciplinary leadership of team members by fostering a positive, inclusive, and performance‑oriented culture.
  • Conduct GRC quality reviews, set up and control an adequate DORA test program, perform 2nd Line audits, and support internal and external audits and assessments; report the ICT risk situation to the Management Board.
  • Mentor and support team members to achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate daily workflows, allocate tasks, ensure timely delivery, provide regular feedback, conduct performance discussions, and support individual development plans.
  • Contribute to planning, reporting, and decision‑making within the department.
  • Act as subject‑matter expert and primary contact for cross‑functional collaboration in the team’s area.

About you

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge and competence in digital operational resilience (DORA) within financial markets. You should possess leadership skills, the ability to develop a high‑potential team, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and stakeholder‑management expertise. Experience in managing ICT risks according to DORA is essential.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Business Management, or a related field; or a professional banking qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of disciplinary responsibility leading teams, or 5 years of leading project or audit teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial markets, particularly Information Risk Management, Governance, Risk and Compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial markets (MaRisk, DORA) and international standards for information security and business continuity management (ISO 27001, 22301).
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • High sense of ownership, reliability and accountability.
  • Fluent in German and English.
