Team Lead Finance (m/f/d)

As Team Lead Finance at Elanders in Waiblingen, you will be responsible for a small, dedicated team and, together with your colleagues, will ensure that our financial processes run efficiently, accurately, and with an eye to the future. You will combine operational accounting with strategic vision and play a key role in ensuring the financial stability and further development of our company.

Your Tasks

• Technical management of a small team (currently 1.5 employees) in the area of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Active participation in day-to-day business – you roll up your sleeves and ensure quality
• Process optimization in finance and accounting in close cooperation with Controlling
• Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Implementation of cost and performance accounting as well as profitability analyses
• Responsibility for timely and accurate accounting in defined areas
• Participation in budget planning, forecasting, and intra-year projections
• Analysis of deviations and preparation of meaningful management reports
• Collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, and internal interfaces such as Controlling, Purchasing, and Production

What makes you stand out

• Successfully completed commercial training with further training as an accountant (m/f/d) or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance
• Several years of solid professional experience in accounting, financial statement preparation, and cost accounting
• In-depth knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and good knowledge of IFRS
• Confident use of ERP systems (e.g., DATEV, Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Excel
• Analytical, structured approach to work, as well as a high degree of initiative and responsibility
• Strong hands‑on mentality—you not only lead, but also actively participate
• Initial experience in leading a small team
• Ideally, professional experience in a manufacturing environment
• Practical English skills
• Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
