Stellenbeschreibung:

What To Expect

Location: Friedrichshagener Str. 30

Duration: 6 months

Time type: Internship

Start Date: As soon as possible

Project Managers on the Battery Pack Design Engineering team drive programs from R&D concept to high volume production. As an intern, you’ll support these efforts by assisting with project execution, documentation, and cross-functional coordination under the guidance of experienced engineers and project leads. The role demands a detail-oriented mindset, curiosity about new technologies, and a strong desire to learn in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

You will work closely with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to help ensure our battery designs meet quality, schedule, and performance goals. Tesla moves quickly—so being proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated is key. This is your chance to contribute to the development of the batteries that power all Tesla electric vehicles.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and communicating project schedules and plans under supervision.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration by helping track action items, status updates, and key milestones.
  • Help identify and document project blockers or risks, and support the team in developing timely solutions.
  • Track project progress and assist in preparing status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Support the development and maintenance of communication channels across engineering, supply chain, PMI, and material planning teams.
  • Assist in tracking project resourcing and support prioritization discussions between program teams.
  • Support design validation testing execution by organizing test data, tracking schedules, and documenting results.
  • Help maintain product BOM accuracy and support change communication between design and downstream teams.
  • Complete and verify documentation in Tesla systems (e.g., Enovia, MES, WARP, Polarion) with guidance.
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices in communication, change management, and data tracking.

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related field), or equivalent academic background.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience creating reports, analyses, or data summaries (e.g., class projects, lab work, research).
  • Familiarity with hardware product development or engineering design processes (coursework or personal projects acceptable).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and email tools.
  • A willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within a high-performance team.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to project management tools (e.g., Excel, Asana, Trello).
  • Basic understanding of CAD or PLM systems (e.g., SolidWorks, Enovia).
  • Interest in electric vehicles, battery technology, or sustainable energy.
