Test Engineer – Computed Tomography (f/m/d)

Test Engineer (f/m/d)

Location: Forchheim, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain test specifications based on functional and non‑functional requirements for software and system components of CT (Computed Tomography) systems.
  • Implement and execute manual software and system tests, review requirement specifications, and document test results.
  • Analyze requirements at an early stage and ensure their complete testability through close collaboration with development and product management.
  • Perform system tests for a defined product or functional area within Computed Tomography.
  • Analyze, document, and track defects in a structured manner, and actively contribute to sustainable quality improvement.
  • Work as a Test Engineer in interdisciplinary, international, agile teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes and workflows, including the use of modern technologies such as AI‑supported test tools.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed bachelor’s degree in Medical Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field, and several years of professional experience in software testing, system testing, or quality assurance. A master’s degree with initial relevant professional experience is also acceptable.
  • Knowledge of test methods, test procedures, and test tools. ISTQB Certified Tester certification is desirable.
  • Experience and knowledge of structured test approaches such as Keyword‑Driven Testing (KDT), and initial exposure to testing AI‑based systems or using AI within the test environment.
  • Experience working in agile development projects and familiarity with software quality requirements in regulated environments, ideally in the medical technology sector.
