Stellenbeschreibung:

Transport Coordinator EMEA

Automotive Business

You will be part of dismantling the current DTS network and contribute actively to the broader SAP/TM implementation journey, helping secure high-quality master data and ensuring that the system truly supports daily operations.

This is a role where you stay close to hands‑on transport activities while taking a step into more strategic work. You will help shape a reliable distribution model, support national and global transportation operations, drive cost efficiency, secure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve processes to meet business expectations across EMEA.

Then this position could be your next career step! It suits you who want to contribute to a major transformation, work in a central role connected to purchasing, operations, engineering, and legal topics, and who enjoy optimizing systems, flows, and procedures to create a smarter and more efficient transport setup.

Ready to grow, influence, and make an impact? Apply now and help us shape the future of EMEA transportation!

What You Can Expect In The Role

Purchasing/Finance

  • Manage purchasing and transportation activities within EMEA or a subregion and act as the lead buyer in coordination with Group Purchasing at international level.
  • Oversee and conduct tender processes, including IT connectivity, and negotiate prices and associated services.
  • Study market trends and competitors and analyse changes in business needs.
  • Ensure carrier performance, drive corrective actions when needed, and take responsibility for supplier changes where appropriate.

Operations management

  • Define work procedures, operating rules, and purchasing guidelines.
  • Coordinate, plan, and book shipments within the European transport network.
  • Maintain schedules, routings, tariffs, and relevant master data, and analyse requirements for work tools to optimize procedures.
  • Follow up KPIs, take action on deviations, and analyse, manage, and evaluate transport damages.

Engineering

  • Analyze managed flows to optimize resources, costs, lead times, etc.
  • Assess the environmental impacts related to transportation.
  • Ensure technical and technological monitoring related to transportation activities.
  • Meet new service providers to expand the supplier base and implement new suppliers from a technical perspective (electronic data interchange).

Legal

  • Monitor, manage, and resolve new regulations and legal disputes.
  • Define the framework, ensuring transportation operations comply with current regulations.
  • Advise Management on decisions impacting transportation regulations.
  • Advise purchasing and sales teams on international trade rules and oversee problem resolution when issues arise within the logistics scope.

You will enjoy working here if you have

  • Relevant academic background, completed training in the area, or equivalent work experience for the position.
  • Solid negotiations, structured, and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in all logistics processes, including Supply Chain Management: understanding of all major transport modes and distribution strategies.
  • Proficient in logistics systems, SAP/TM, and performance measurement tools.
  • Fluent in English.
