Windows Server Engineer

Are you an experienced Windows Server Engineer with a passion for building secure, scalable, and high-availability server environments? Join our team and help shape a robust IT landscape for a global pharmaceutical organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, hardening, optimizing, and maintaining a complex Windows Server infrastructure. You’ll work closely with IT security, architecture teams, and 3rd-level support to ensure the reliability, compliance, and performance of mission-critical systems.

• Review and adapt existing IT landscape designs to align with IT security & architecture standards
• Design SQL Server installation images considering vendor requirements & IT security guidelines
• Develop high-availability (HA) solutions using Microsoft Failover Clustering
• Harden cluster solutions in line with CIS benchmarks
• Adjust Active Directory policies to ensure cluster functionality and secure configurations
• Adapt the cluster concept in collaboration with 3rd-level AD support
• Roll out Microsoft Defender Antivirus using Group Policies in Global AD
• Harden servers & clients according to CIS and modify specifications as needed
• Create GPOs for centralized management of:
• Office 365
• Edge & Firefox
• SmartScreen
• ASR roles
• Analyze operational requirements and fine-tune CIS-restricted settings
• Document all configurations, settings, and architectural decisions
