Germany's grid is being rebuilt for the energy transition. This role sits where much of that work gets decided.

The role

Our client, a global leader in power grid technology, needs a Strategic Account Manager to own its relationship with one of Germany's major network operators. Not a quota-carrier juggling fifty logos. One account, run like a business: strategy, relationships, pipeline, contracts and growth.

What you'll do

Build and run the account strategy, with long-term growth and customer satisfaction as the measures that matter
Earn trust across the operator, from engineering teams to the executive board
Spot, qualify and close new opportunities shaped around the operator's real challenges
Negotiate contracts and make sure SLA commitments are met
Bring sales, technical and product development teams together to deliver tailored solutions
Report on account health, pipeline and revenue forecasts, with no surprises
Read the market and the competition, and keep the company positioned ahead of both
Represent the company at industry events and conferences

What you bring

8 to 10 years in strategic account management or business development in the energy sector
Deep knowledge of the German grid landscape: the regulation, the technology and the pressures network operators face
A track record with senior stakeholders and complex accounts, and closed deals to show for it
The ability to turn complex technical topics into clear business cases
Strategic vision backed by analytical rigour
Fluent German and English
A degree in engineering, science, business or a comparable field
Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally
