For Our Sugar Beet Breeding Division, We Are Looking For The Following Position At Our Site In Söllingen, Lower Saxony, As Soon As Possible, On a Permanent Full-time Basis (40 Hours/week)

Group Leader – Sugar Beet Seed-Bearer Breeding (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

• Leading and managing teams to implement seed-bearer programs
• Planning, organizing, and implementing workflows
• Assisting the preparation for sowing of sugar beet plants
• Assisting the sowing and care of seedlings
• Assisting seed-bearer crossing, as well as the maintenance and harvesting of seed-bearers
• Assisting with the planning of seed-bearer programs
• Integrating new breeding workflows into the operational tasks, processes, workflows, and organization of defined seed-bearer programs
• Project management of experiments to implement new breeding workflows

Your Profile

• Bachelor's/Master's/Diploma in Agriculture, Biology, Horticulture, or a related field
• Several years of experience in the practical implementation of breeding programs or related activities in agriculture or horticulture
• Experience in team leadership and project management
• Proficient in MS Office and database programs
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to navigate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent German language skills; good English language skills are a plus
• Willingness to work overtime
• Willingness to monitor and manage irrigation on weekends
• Willingness to work outside of the described position
• Class B driver's license
