Tasks / Responsibilities

Disciplinary responsibility for the department at the Regensburg site and further development in line with corporate goals and TÜV SÜD leadership commitments.
Establishment of an innovative and positive work culture to promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Managing existing clients and acquiring new ones through proposal and contract negotiations in collaboration with sales.
Identifying and implementing new legal and normative frameworks within a profitable growth strategy.
Optimizing measurement procedures and increasing sampling efficiency through improved equipment.
Ensuring high-quality standards in customer contact, service delivery, and documentation through ongoing team competence development.
Collaborating closely with other departments on process optimization and cross-departmental account management in national and international projects.
Active participation in operational activities during representations and key client engagements.
Overall responsibility for the department's accreditation, compliance with authorities, and representation in relevant committees.

Qualifications

Degree in environmental or process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Ideally some leadership experience as a department head.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to promote effective collaboration.
Enjoyment of customer contact and responsibility for defined goals, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.
Extensive experience in emission measurements, functional tests, and calibrations.
Deep understanding of environmental legislation and environmental performance monitoring.
Very good technological understanding of industrial processes.
Fluent German and very good English skills in speaking and writing.
