Accounting Manager (m/f/d) - Data Center Infrastructure

We are supporting a mandate for a high-growth, international technology-driven organization with a strong footprint across EMEA. The company operates in a dynamic infrastructure and digital services environment and is known for its innovation, scalability, and fast-paced culture. To strengthen its expanding finance function, our client is looking to hire a Financial Accounting Manager to join their regional accounting and reporting team based in Europe.

In this role, you will take ownership of key accounting processes across multiple legal entities, with a particular focus on capital-intensive operations and complex revenue streams. You will act as a key business partner to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with international standards, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead general ledger accounting and the full month-end and quarter-end close cycles for multiple entities across the EMEA region
  • Oversee accounting for capital expenditures, fixed assets, depreciation, leasing arrangements (IFRS 16), accruals, and prepayments
  • Manage accounting for large-scale infrastructure investments, including capitalisation policies, useful life assessments, impairment reviews, and disposals
  • Ensure accurate recognition of B2B revenue in line with IFRS 15, including contract assessments, deferred revenue, and intercompany billing structures
  • Prepare and review reconciliations between IFRS and local GAAP, delivering high-quality reporting packages to group-level stakeholders
  • Support statutory financial statement preparation and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely audit completion
  • Manage relationships with external accounting service providers and oversee reporting deliverablesCollaborate with Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams on intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and cross‑border arrangements
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and reporting processes
  • Provide ad‑hoc reporting and insights to senior management and regulatory bodies

Your Profile

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post‑qualification experience
  • Background in audit combined with in‑house experience is highly beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly revenue recognition and leasing standards
  • Experience with capital‑intensive environments or complex asset accounting is advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with large ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, consolidation tools)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across international, cross‑functional teams
  • Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment
