Generative AI is moving from experimentation to production, and the customers making that jump need more than a service overview. They need someone who can advise their senior executives on how AI technology can drive their AI journey, sit with their architects, work through what a model can and cannot do for their specific problem, and design something that survives contact with their security review, their data estate and their regulator.

That is this role. As a Specialist Solutions Architect for AI, you will be the technical voice for your customers for AWS AI services in Germany, Switzerland and CEE, helping customers understand what is genuinely possible with AWS, designing the architectures that get them there, and proving it with them in deep dive engagements. You will work with enterprise and digital-native customers.

You will combine deep technical expertise with the customer-facing judgment to know when a customer needs a whiteboard, when they need a working prototype, and when they need you to tell them their use case is not ready yet.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead technical deep-dives, architecture reviews, workshops and support proof-of-concept engagements that move customers from AI ambition to a validated, deployable design.
• Design AI/ML architectures on AWS; spanning model selection, retrieval and data pipelines, agentic patterns, evaluation, cost and latency trade-offs, and the security and data-residency requirements that customers bring to every conversation.
• Help customers build evaluation frameworks that measure model performance against their own success criteria, so decisions about production readiness rest on evidence rather than demo impressions.
• Own the technical narrative across audiences from implementation-level detail with engineering teams to business-value framing with CTOs, Chief Data Officers and executive sponsors.
• Enable and up-skill the field: Solutions Architects and Account Managers across the territory, so AI expertise scales beyond your own calendar.
• Capture patterns and friction from customer engagements and drive them back into AWS service teams as concrete product feedback.
• Produce technical content and thought leadership reference architectures, blog posts, whitepapers and represent AWS at industry events and executive briefings.
• Travel within the territory as required to support customer engagements.

About the team

AI Strategic Pursuits is a new team inside AWS Enterprise Sales, built to match the moment. We hire people with bar raising depth and drive who chose the field over the deck, enterprise sellers & deep technology experts who closed the deals others called impossible, operators who built businesses inside large organizations. We are small by design, senior by default, and measured on outcomes our customers announce publicly.

• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
