The Opportunity

As a Lufthansa City Airlines Captain, you will command modern Airbus A220/A320 aircraft on high-profile European services. This is a permanent command role for seasoned professionals who combine decisive leadership with a steadfast commitment to safety, teamwork, and sustainable operations.

What You’ll Do

• Command A220/A320 family aircraft on short- and medium-haul European sectors from MUC and FRA.
• Lead and mentor flight and cabin crews to deliver safe, on-time, and customer-focused operations.
• Exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making in dynamic, time-critical environments.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Champion a responsible, sustainable approach to flight operations and fuel efficiency.
• Contribute to shaping the culture and procedures of a growing airline within the Lufthansa Group.

What You Bring

• Licence: EASA ATPL(A) with valid Class 1 Medical.
• Type rating: A220 or A320 type rating preferred (type-rated and non-type-rated captains welcome).
• Experience: 5000+ total flight hours on CS-25 aircraft and minimum 1000 hours PIC on CS-25 aircraft.
• Education: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur/Fachhochschulreife or equivalent).
• Right to work: EU citizenship or unrestricted residence and work permit.
• Travel documents: Passport with unrestricted validity.
• Language: Confident verbal and written English; minimum ICAO Language Proficiency Level 4.
• Competencies: Strong decision‑making and teamwork skills; openness, professionalism, and pragmatism.
• Mindset: Willingness to actively shape a young airline and operate responsibly and sustainably.
