AIRBUS: Software Development/Test Engineer (d/m/w) - befr. für 2 Jahre

Please note that this position is a fixed-term role for 1.5 years. You will work as Software Development/ Test Engineer (w/m/d) within Software Engineering Team of the Airbus Cabin Electronics Department.

Responsibilities

• Define software requirements and designs based on the system specification.
• Create, test and integrate software components.
• Verify software requirements and designs and create test cases and procedures.
• Execute software and hardware integration tests.
• Enhance existing tests by integrating them into CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) framework.
• Create the software lifecycle documentation.
• Be responsible for configuration and release management for software artefacts.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team and software development.

Your profile

• Completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, business informatics, software engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Solid experience in IT/ information systems and verification/integration systems.
• Knowledge of project management, process management and good understanding of the DO 178 lifecycle.
• Experience with C/C++ is required.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps development practices and tools (e.g. Jira, GitHub, Jenkins).
• Experience with model based development tools (e.g., SCADE) is welcome.
• Business-fluent English skills.
• German language skills are an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and business teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
