AML Compliance Officer (Part Time)

Overview

StoneX Financial GmbH ("SFG"), a wholly‑owned subsidiary of StoneX Group Inc., is a payments provider specializing in transferring funds to the developing world. It offers customized FX payment services in 180+ countries and 140+ currencies to more than 1,000 customers, including international aid and development organizations, NGOs, and small corporations.

Responsibilities

• Review and development of relevant policies and procedures
• Conduct quality assessment of outsourced AML operational tasks
• Evaluate and process alerts and escalations from other teams
• Investigate suspicious cases and report suspicious activity to FIU
• Support SFG MLRO in communication with competent German authorities (e.g., BaFin, LKA)
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audit
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects as required
• Support MLRO in development and execution of SFG Control Plan
• Conduct gap analysis on relevant new laws and regulations
• Support MLRO in any other tasks as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics or related field
• CAMS certification (desired)

• Knowledge of international and German compliance laws, regulations, and industry practices
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Understanding of business context of a payment provider (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work flexibly under pressure, often with short‑notice deadlines
• Excellent command of English and strong command in spoken and written German (other languages are an advantage)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
