Assistant Chief NWQL

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief NWQL in overseeing the daily operations of the NWQL department, including managing staff, resources, and projects
• Collaborate with the Chief NWQL in developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the NWQL department
• Ensure that all projects are completed within the specified timeline and budget
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed
• Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure accurate and reliable results
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff on laboratory procedures and methods
• Stay updated on industry developments and recommend changes to improve processes and procedures
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for staff
• Prepare and present reports on the performance of the NWQL department to senior management
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a laboratory setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, methods, and equipment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely, while also collaborating effectively with a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Experience with quality control and assurance processes
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for laboratory operations
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
