For KWS Berlin GmbH we are looking for an Associate Accountant O2C Operations with knowledge of English. As an Associate O2C, you will play an important role in supporting efficient order-to-cash processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to continuous process improvements in an international environment. This is a full‑time position on a temporary contract with the possibility of extension at our location in Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming customer payments in accordance with SLA
• Maintain and clear customer accounts
• Provide customer balance confirmation and perform reconciliations
• Process customer returns, rebates, and refunds
• Generate statement of accounts and process dunning letters
• Calculate and approve credit limits
• Respond to audit request and participate in meetings with auditors
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in a timely manner
• Resolve account discrepancies and contact customers accordingly
• Calculate provisions, write‑offs, and bad debts devaluation in accordance with IFRS 9
• Engage customers in collection efforts in writing as well as over the phone
• Create manual invoices and manage cheques
• Process act of acceptance and monitor relevant general ledger accounts
• Manage disputes, direct debit, and cash allocation with Treasury
• Investigate inter‑company differences with relevant stakeholders
• Participate in ongoing projects in the department

Qualifications and Benefits

• Preferably an apprenticeship or BA Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Economics. Correlated areas (e.g. International Relations, Statistics, etc.) will be considered
• Master’s Degree is considered an asset
• Prior experience in accounts receivable/finance is desirable. Knowledge of the SD Module in SAP is an asset
• Solid understanding of accounting practices and procedures
• Strong analytical skills and attential to detail
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP ECC and ideally S/4 Hana are an advantage
• Knowledge of Sales Force is a plus
• Organized and able to work in a multicultural and diverse environment
• Knowledge in programming and/or scripting (coding) are a plus. Other digital skills (e.g. SQL) are an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and team mindset
• Fluency English is essential. Knowledge of German is a plus. Other languages of interest are Croatian, Romanian, Portuguese, and Polish
