Overview

In this Automation Engineer role, you design, implement, and optimize automation for Skeleton’s net-zero production lines. You will collaborate with process engineers to boost yield, cycle time, and quality, while integrating robotics, vision systems and Industry 4.0 solutions across manufacturing. You’ll lead commissioning of new equipment and ensure safe, compliant operation within a fast-growing production environment. This is an opportunity to shape automation in cutting-edge energy storage manufacturing and contribute to a sustainability-focused mission.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Design, develop and optimize automation for supercapacitor production lines
  • Program and maintain PLCs and industrial control systems
  • Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA for production monitoring
  • Integrate robotics, vision systems, and sensors into processes
  • Lead commissioning and validation of new production equipment
  • Troubleshoot automation-related downtime and issues
  • Collaborate with process engineers to improve yield and cycle time
  • Support data acquisition and Industry 4.0 initiatives
  • Ensure safety standards and CE compliance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Engineer / Technician education in automation, electrical engineering, IT, mechatronics or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of production automation experience (special machine construction, automotive)
  • Experience in partial/full automation of manufacturing processes
  • Experience programming PLCs, HMI, robotics; ideal: TIA Portal, WinCC, C#, C++, Scout, Fanuc, Yaskawa
  • Experience with MES applications and IT/OT networks desirable
  • Successful project execution in automation
  • Experience with development/commissioning of production systems desirable
