In our Operation Services Department, you'll join an experienced team managing Avaloq development and payment processing.

As an Avaloq Parameterization Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Transaction Banking unit within the Operation Services Department in Zurich, Düsseldorf or Frankfurt. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your business colleagues to achieve shared goals, take ownership of application components, address operational challenges, and contribute to ongoing projects. You will play a key role in maintaining and expanding our core banking system, Avaloq, while driving innovation and operational excellence.

Role Responsibilities

• Parametrization in our core banking system, Avaloq, with a primary focus on Payment and additional involvement in FX and Fiduciary.
• Drive developments forward together with the specialists and business analysts, bring new ideas and innovations, and pursue the shared goals of client satisfaction, quality improvement, efficiency gains, and ensuring smooth operations.
• Get involved with solution design, as well as programming, parametrization, and testing to ensure the availability of business‑critical services and to support bank‑wide platform projects.
• Work in the same team as the business specialists in the Transaction Banking unit and the Operation Services department.

Qualifications

• Several years of software engineering experience in the banking and finance sector.
• Relevant Avaloq parameterization experience and a willingness to continuously acquire new knowledge in this area.
• Enthusiasm for new technologies, agile working methods, and the ability to take responsibility.
• Very good communication skills in English and German are mandatory.
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to take ownership of your work and personal growth.
• Good analytical skills, solution‑oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently.
