Business Data Analyst

Overview

Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams to understand business needs and operational challenges. Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility, and performance. Document workflows, reporting requirements, and operational procedures. Support project tracking, financial reporting, and operational performance reviews. Collect, validate, clean, and analyze data from multiple systems and sources. Identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and performance opportunities. Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support strategic decision-making. Develop meaningful KPIs and operational metrics. Translate complex data into clear recommendations for business stakeholders. Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Google Workspace, or similar tools. Support reporting automation and recurring data processes. Improve data accuracy, consistency, and governance across systems. Assist in developing predictive insights related to project performance, cost management, workforce planning, and operational efficiency. Work closely with field operations, project managers, finance, and executive leadership. Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Reporting, or Business Intelligence roles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and advanced formulas
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish
• Experience supporting construction, utility, telecom, industrial, or field operations environments (preferred)
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization platforms (preferred)
• Knowledge of SQL, VBA, Google Apps Script, Power Query, or automation tools (preferred)
• Experience supporting operational, financial, or project-based reporting (preferred)
• Familiarity with KPI development and performance analytics (preferred)
• Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Project Management, Agile, or Scrum certifications (bonus)
• Experience building automated reporting solutions and executive dashboards (bonus)
