Business Development Manager (LLP/4PL Automotive and Manufacturing) - Supply Chain Solutions

To strengthen our Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) team, we are looking for an exceptional candidate experienced in Strategic Business Development to drive the growth of our 4PL and Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) solutions across the European Automotive sector.

Your Role

As Strategic Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Yusen Logistics’ Supply Chain Solutions business across Europe. Your focus will be on identifying, developing and securing strategic 4PL opportunities with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and aftermarket organisations.

You will build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers, translate complex customer challenges into tailored supply chain solutions, and position Yusen Logistics as the preferred strategic logistics partner. Working closely with Operations, Solution Design, Marketing and Commercial teams, you will lead high-value sales opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for Supply Chain Solutions within the European Automotive sector
• Identify, qualify and secure new 4PL and LLP business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and aftermarket customers
• Build trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders and influence complex decision‑making processes
• Lead customer presentations, commercial negotiations and solution workshops
• Collaborate with Operations, Solution Design, Marketing and RFP teams to develop compelling, value‑driven proposals
• Promote Yusen Logistics' integrated Supply Chain Solutions and clearly articulate our unique value proposition
• Monitor market developments, industry trends and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, provide commercial forecasting and support strategic business planning
• Represent Yusen Logistics at customer meetings, industry events and trade exhibitions across Europe

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline; an MBA is considered a strong advantage
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in complex international Supply Chain Solutions, 4PL or Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) environments
• Proven track record of winning strategic new business within the Automotive sector
• Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end supply chain management, international freight, cross‑border transportation, trade compliance and integrated logistics solutions
• Established network within the European Automotive industry is highly desirable
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market opportunities into long‑term business growth
• Results‑driven, self‑motivated and comfortable operating independently in an international environment
• Fluent in English and German is essential. Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally across Europe as required
