Your Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business growth across Germany and the Benelux region, with a primary focus on customers within the Lifestyle sector (Retail & FMCG). You will own the complete commercial journey-from identifying opportunities and engaging executive stakeholders to designing tailored Supply Chain Solutions, leading negotiations and successfully closing new business. Working closely with Operations, Industrial Verticals, Marketing and Tender teams, you will position Yusen Logistics as a trusted strategic partner for integrated supply chain solutions. Once new business has been secured, you will ensure a seamless transition to our Implementation and Client Development teams to support long-term customer success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Origin Cargo Management sales strategy across Germany and the Benelux region
• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities within the Lifestyle sector, while supporting opportunities across other industries
• Build long-term relationships with executive-level stakeholders and key decision-makers
• Lead customer presentations, solution workshops and commercial negotiations
• Develop tailored Order Management and Supply Chain Solutions that address complex customer challenges
• Collaborate with Operations, Industrial Verticals, Marketing and Tender/RFP teams to create competitive commercial proposals
• Promote Yusen Logistics' Supply Chain Solutions and clearly articulate our value proposition
• Maintain a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline to support long-term business growth
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity and customer trends to identify new commercial opportunities
• Represent Yusen Logistics at industry events, customer meetings and trade exhibitions

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline (MBA is an advantage)
• 15+ years of experience within complex Supply Chain Solutions, international logistics or cross-border transportation
• Strong commercial track record in winning and developing strategic customer relationships
• Experience within the Lifestyle sector (Retail and/or FMCG) is essential
• Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, international freight and integrated logistics solutions
• Knowledge of 4PL and Order Management solutions is a strong advantage
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and analytical approach
• Able to influence stakeholders across multiple countries, cultures and organisational levels
• Fluent in German and English; additional European languages are considered an advantage
• Willingness to travel across Germany, the Benelux region and internationally as required
