The Opportunity:

An ambitious and rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage developer is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to support its continued growth in Germany and expansion into new European markets.

The company has established a significant BESS development pipeline in Germany and is now entering its next phase of growth. With ambitions beyond the German market, the business is looking for someone who can identify where the next opportunities will come from, whether through new markets, technologies, partnerships, project origination or strategic transactions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate new business and investment opportunities within BESS and renewable energy.
• Support expansion into new European markets and assess opportunities across emerging technologies.
• Originate new projects and commercial opportunities.
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships with developers, investors and other market participants.
• Support the assessment of potential M&A and transaction opportunities.
• Conduct market analysis to identify new routes to growth.
• Build relationships with relevant partners and stakeholders across the European energy market.
• Work closely with senior management to develop and execute the company's wider growth strategy.

Your Profile

• Experience within business development, project origination, partnerships, M&A or a related commercial position.
• Previous experience within renewable energy is strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and evaluate new opportunities.
• Comfortable operating across different markets and working in an entrepreneurial, fast-growing environment.
• German language skills are advantageous but not essential.
• Additional European language skills would be particularly valuable.
