Job Profile

Logistics Specialist – Supply Chain Management (Retrofit Projects):

Coordination and logistics management for modification projects for Lufthansa and Discover Airlines
Ensuring the timely provision of materials at global retrofit sites
Commissioning and monitoring of sea, air, and road transport with the selected logistics service provider
Handling of issue resolution cases
Expediting shipments
Commissioning and monitoring of warehousing services (material consolidation, quality control, and coordination of outgoing shipments)
Coordination of return shipments from retrofit sites
Internal communication with relevant interfaces (L/TE, L/TC6, L/TC3) and ongoing logistics reporting on outstanding material requirements
Participation in meetings regarding the material status of specific retrofit projects
External communication with service providers, suppliers, and MRO partners (English proficiency required in some instances)

Personal Requirements (Education, Knowledge, Skills)

Degree in Transport/Logistics or Supply Chain Management; (Air freight knowledge essential; sea freight experience a plus)
Global transport management (air, sea, road)
Basic knowledge of customs regulations
Strong organizational skills
English proficiency (B2–C1 level)
Alternatively: Training as a freight forwarding specialist with extensive experience and further qualification (e.g., certified specialist/Fachwirt)
