The Lapland Welfare Area is seeking a chief physician for a permanent position in the Special Support Rehabilitation Services. These services are part of the centralized rehabilitation services within the rehabilitation division. Start date according to agreement.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring rehabilitation of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism as part of a multidisciplinary team, including related medical examinations and recommendations.
• Collaborating with psychologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a rehabilitation coordinator, and the chief physician.
• Developing and consulting on the rehabilitation network.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice medicine.
• Strong cooperation skills and the desire to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Preferred: Suitable specialization as a medical specialist.
• Experience working with clients with intellectual disabilities or neuropsychiatric conditions.

Employment terms are governed by the Medical Agreement. The position includes a six‑month probation period. We adhere to vaccination requirements as per the law and infectious disease regulations.
