Commissioning Engineer

You’ll be responsible for commissioning and testing complete emergency power systems, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and in line with all technical and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and test full emergency power systems (engines, generators, switchgear, fuel systems)
• Ensure all systems are installed correctly and meet safety standards and technical specifications
• Carry out detailed performance testing before client handover
• Work closely with project, development, and installation teams
• Act as a technical point of contact for clients during installation and testing phases
• Support and contribute to FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) activities
• Perform structured generator testing and verify system safety and functionality
• Diagnose technical issues and implement logical, data-driven solutions
• Operate and utilise generator control systems to manage automatic power switchover and synchronisation
• Monitor and analyse system data to quickly identify and resolve faults
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and project-specific requirements
• Produce clear, detailed reports documenting all tests and processes

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commissioning Engineer working with Generators/Power systems
• A structured, detail-oriented engineer who values accuracy and quality
• Someone comfortable working in a role where precision and process are critical
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, data-led approach
