Composite & Bonding Technician – Front Row Monuments

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Composite & Bonding Technician to join our Final Assembly team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise preparation, bonding, and assembly of front row monuments (e.g., bulkheads, stowage's, wardrobes, and class dividers) to the highest quality standards, in line with production schedules and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out composite lay‑up, bonding, trimming, sealing, and finishing operations on front row monuments and cabin interior structures.
• Prepare and assemble components using adhesives, films, foams, and composite laminates , ensuring strong, defect‑free bonds.
• Work with a variety of materials including composites, aluminium, and engineered plastics .
• Perform drilling, riveting, torquing, and other fastening methods in line with aerospace standards.
• Ensure all parts meet strict aerospace tolerances, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Conduct in‑process checks, inspections, and documentation of bonding/assembly tasks.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to resolve build or material issues.
• Maintain work areas to 5S/Lean standards and comply with all Health & Safety regulations.

Key Requirements

• Proven hands‑on experience as a Composite Technician / Assembly Fitter / Bonding Operator , ideally within aerospace or high‑end transport manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of bonding techniques, adhesive handling, surface preparation, and curing processes .
• Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering specifications .
• Competence with a wide range of hand and power tools (riveters, drills, sealant guns, orbital sanders, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work to tight tolerances .
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, quality‑driven production environment.
• Understanding of FOD, ESD, and cleanroom practices (desirable).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with monuments assembly, bonding, and composite repair .
• Familiarity with Airbus or Boeing programs .
• Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Composites, or a related discipline .
